Ford Kuga 1.5L EcoBoost 2018 coolant intrusion due to short engine block fail design.

If you have a Ford with 1.5L EcoBoost engine build before 2019 and you see this, prepare yourself to scrap the car. The cost for a short engine block replacement will be almost equal with current car value so, doesn't worth. The engine will work normally if you add coolant before each trip but is swallowing 1 to 1.5 liters each trip of 20 km and is frustrating to refill the coolant like this.

ID you are e non US customer, Ford will trash and insult your intelligence. They also contradict them self's in the same time with statements like "the vehicle specifications are totally different between markets, the defects in US engines are not present EU ones" and "our technicians determined that your car short engine block failed and must be replaced". If you ask why, they will answer with "because happens". What ?! Happens at a 50000 miles engine, are you kidding me ?!

Doing some research revealed that as a result o class action lawsuit, Ford US mitigated this issue recalling all the cars for one time short engine block replacement at no costs for owners as documented with Customer Satisfaction Program 21N12 and TSB 19-2139, 19-2375, 20-2100 and 22-2134.

Let's see what Ford Europe (in this particular case is about Ford Romania ) did ?!
Short answer was "We don't care, we already took your money and fooled you." and long one was:

"The recall that you have attached and the aforementioned TSB, are not active on the European market, but on the US market. We would like to emphasize that the vehicle specifications are totally different between markets. The defects found on vehicles with similar features, as those on the US market, cannot be associated with all Ford Kuga vehicles, because each of them is designed and configured with certain parts, according to the regulations and the specifics of the parts of the respective market.

Problems encountered in the US are not found on European vehicles and vice versa, therefore, as is often the case, American vehicles have certain recall actions and loyalty programs and European ones do not.

Following pressure tests, coolant leak checks and DTC interrogation tests performed by our dealership technicians, the repair instructions provided by our specialists indicate that the engine block must be replaced.

Unfortunately, this intervention will not be reimbursed or covered by Ford Romania, due to the factors mentioned above."
