The Costume Kid shows you how to make a costume for Ty from Dinotrux!

Materials Used:
Red Long-Sleeve Shirt (Thrift Store)
Red Pants (Left Over or Thrift Store)
Shoes (Left Over or Thrift Store)
Cardboard (Left Over)
Red Spray-Paint (Hardware Store)
Silver Spray-Paint (Hardware Store)
Black Spray-Paint (Hardware Store)
1 Sheet Of 2mm Foam (Craft Store)
Duct Tape (Craft Store)
Red Duct Tape (Craft Store)
Yellow Duct Tape (Craft Store)
Gaffer Tape (Hardware Store)
Toy Helmet (Dollar Store)
Grey Gloves (Dollar Store)
Foam Ball (Dollar Store)
Also,
Hot-Glue Scissors, Knife, Ruler,
Sharpie, & a Pen or Pencil

Instructions:
Take your red shirt and add strips of duct-tape to it, as well as some craft foam and Sharpie for more details. Cut some craft foam and paint it orange for the shoulder pads. add some tape at the elbow and then paint half of the sleeve, and the gloves silver. Next make some simple boxes out of cardboard. Paint them silver with some black weathering, then add some yellow duct tape, and Sharpie. For the shoes take any old pair and paint them silver and black. Make a 'belt' out of red duct-tape. Add a silver piece of cardboard in the front and the tail in the back. For the tail cut some pieces of cardboard that match the shape. take a ball from the dollar store, spray paint it silver and attack it with a string. For the mask, take a toy helmet and glue lots of cardboard to it and make it look like Ty's head. When that is done, cover it with Gaffer tape as smooth as you can. Paint the mask red, add some details and the teeth with cardboard and silver duct tape. Use small pieces of craft foam and draw Sharpie circles for his eyes. Finally add some black see-through fabric in the mouth so that it looks black, you can still see. And there you go, finished costume!
