EPFO To Launch UPI Based PF Withdrawals With Direct Bank Transfers For Subscribers

Employees' Provident Fund Organisation is set to introduce UPI based provident fund withdrawals, allowing subscribers to transfer EPF money directly into their bank accounts. Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said testing for the new facility has been completed.
The new system will allow EPFO members to view their eligible PF balance, use a linked UPI PIN for secure transactions and receive funds directly into seeded bank accounts. The move aims to simplify and speed up PF withdrawals for over seven crore subscribers.
EPFO also plans to launch WhatsApp based services for members, enabling users to check PF balances, claim status and recent transactions in local languages. The organisation said the service could be launched within a month.
