10. Current antibiotic management of multi-drug resistant Gram-negative bloodstream infections
The talk will go through MDR Gram negative organisms by summarising its classification, mechanism of resistance and The English Surveillance of Antimicrobial Use and Resistance. It will then discuss the management of MDR Gram negative infections and what are the challenges of treatment that we currently face. It will also highlight new antibiotics that can be used in treating these infections and the other ways to reduce the development of antimicrobial resistance.
