Flying over SCHIPHOL AIRPORT and AMSTERDAM in a husky!

The corona crisis has taken a toll on the aviation industry, leaving many airliners no other choice than grounding their aircrafts for an unknown period of time. Truly devastating for all of us pilots, travellers and aviation lovers, and we all hope these strange times come to an end soon.

In this video you meet Joren; one of my housemates and fellow skydive pilot. He is also an airline pilot, glider instructor and tow plane pilot. These are uncertain times for both of us, but we’re trying our best to stay positive and try to make the most of the flights that ARE still allowed.

We are truly living through history. Seeing Schiphol with all her grounded planes is surreal; a sad image imprinted in my mind.

But I believe its important to look this crisis straight in the eye and accept it for what it is.

One day these planes will fly again, and we will be more thankful than ever for the magic of flight!
