Venus: Earth's Sister Planet

The next planet from the Sun after Mercury is Venus. This planet is the most similar to Earth in terms of size and mass, but it wouldn't look and feel the same if you went for a visit. Incredible heat and pressure from the thick atmosphere of carbon dioxide, clouds of sulfuric acid, actually Venus looks more like the traditional conception of hell than anything else! And yet we named it after the Roman goddess of love. Isn't that sweet? Let's learn more about this terrifying world!
