Fissure keeps growing to 3.5 km long! Now 2 km away from Grindavik! 4 times bigger than Litlihrutur!
Erupting fissure keeps expanding and is now only 2000 meters away from Grindavik city! It's not excluded that it will continue to expand southwest (into the city itself). There is no telling when the expansion will stop. Currently most of the lava is moving the east of the fissures, also to the north but the situation is changing rapidly. Stay tuned.
