Hey everyone! This is Top 3D Shop, and in this video we’ll tell you about Anisoprint Composer A4, a unique 3D printer for printing with continuous carbon fiber.

The Composer A4 3D printer is based on patent pending technology called CFC - Composite Fiber Coextrusion. This technology developed by Anisoprint allows to reinforce thermoplastic polymers with fiber.

When it comes to stiffness and mechanical strength, Anisoprint machines will allow you to print objects that are on par with those produced using the SLS technology. The company’s own technology is called anisoprinting.

The device features a dual nozzle: the first is for FDM printing with thermoplastic, the second is for printing with the CCF carbon fiber, which retains the structure of a continuous filament, instead of being contained inside the polymer as chopped fiber like in other printing technologies.

Composite Carbon Fiber is a proprietary development of the company. Its strength characteristics are 2 times higher than that of aluminum, and it weighs at least 2 times less.

Objects printed on the Composer A4 demonstrate significantly higher strength than identical models printed using PEEK or Ultem materials.
Such results are achieved thanks to straightness and continuity of the fibers, adequate proportions and a large amount of carbon fiber in the finished product - up to 30 percent.

Anisoprint Composer A4 is a dual-extrusion 3D printer with an enclosed working chamber and a rigid aluminum frame. The machine can print with both thermoplastic and composite. The company's engineers introduced a completely new print head.

The 3D printer uses the CoreXY design and is equipped with a heated bed featuring a removable glass surface.

Leveling of the platform is carried out in semi-automatic mode - using the screws located under the bed.

Filament spools are placed outside, on the back panel of the printer, filament is fed through Bowden tubes.

The unique technology requires a completely different approach to preparing a digital model for printing. The proprietary Aura software developed by Anisoprint will allow to easily customize and adjust the printing settings of internal and external elements of a model, and select parameters for working with carbon fiber and raw thermoplastic.

The Aura softwares works with all FDM printers and is distributed absolutely free. Anyone can download this branded piece of software from the official website of the company.

The technology of coextrusion of a continuous composite fiber - anisoprinting - allows you to work with any plastic whose melting point does not exceed 250 degrees Celsius - PLA, ABS, Nylon, PETG, polycarbonate, polyurethane. In addition, you can use composites with particulate fillers.

We conducted a testing of two samples printed on a Composer A4 printer. The first one was made of raw PETG with one hundred percent infill, the second one was made of the same material, but with three perimeters of CCF. As a result, the first sample was crushed at a load of more than 9 kilograms, and it took more than 35 kilos of load to destroy the second one.

CCF carbon fiber is manufactured by Anisoprint and comes in spools of 750 meters. One such spool is included with the 3D printer.

Anisoprint Composer A4 will allow its owner to produce parts of almost any shape with a complex internal structure. High physical and mechanical properties of the finished objects make this technology popular in various branches of mechanical engineering - from the aerospace industry to the car industry and robotics - wherever strength, rigidity and lightness are of utmost importance.
