New Wheels & Brakes! Dragging This Old Plane Into 1972!
1961 Cessna 172 Wheel and Brake Replacement - Upgrading to Cleveland Wheels
In this episode, join us as we embark on a journey to upgrade the 1961 Cessna 172, Mike Victor Uniform, with a brand new wheel and brake set from Cleveland Wheels. We share the reasons behind this upgrade, including improved braking performance and reduced weight, giving us more payload capacity.
We take you through the entire process, from removing the old wheel and brake set to installing the new one. Along the way, we encounter some interesting challenges and technical details, so you can get a glimpse of the intricacies of aircraft maintenance.
Then we test fly from Edenvale CNV8 to Oshawa CYOO
Stay tuned for upcoming episodes where we visit Lyle from Six-Pack Aero to discuss a new panel system for the Cessna 172 and take a tour of Dynon's factory and testing facility near Seattle.
