Taking your Engine's Temperature
The most popular form of experimental aircraft engine temperature monitoring device is the thermocouple. This video explores how the thermocouple works and its role in monitoring CHT, EGT, and other areas that are typically monitored in a modern experimental aircraft. Wiring the thermocouple to the instrumental panel is discussed as well as the monitoring tools needed for verifying a successful installation.
