The Westminster Dog Show is arguably the most famous dog competition around, the four-legged competitors are divided up into groups such as the Working Group, Sporting Group, Herding Group, and even the Non-Sporting Group based on their breed. Well despite careful breeding all dogs have the capacity to fall into the Non-Sporting Group if given the chance.

For #NationalDogDay on August 26th the Museum of English Rural Life whose mission is to "explore the English countryside, its history, and its people," asked people to submit bios of their dogs who were bred for practical purposes but now fills their days doing nothing of any practical purpose.
