Some people will curse you out, yell, and even throw things at you, but there are ways to deal with difficult patients and families.

-remain professional
-develop a tough skin (dont take it personal)
-be confident
-ask for help
-give patients time & space
-anticipate your patient's needs
-listen
-ask what they want you to do
