1899 LIFEBOAT, 1859 LIGHTHOUSE

Telling of St Ives' early lifeboat history on the way, JAMES STEVENS No. 10, the world's oldest working lifeboat sails to Godrevy Island and the lighthouse built to warn of the infamous Stones Reef. The inspiration for Virginia Woolf's 1927 novel 'To the Lighthouse', it has also featured in an episode of Doc Martin.
