KOPI ROTI RECIPE | How to Make Coffee Bun

For the love of bread and coffee - here's how you can make your own Kopi Roti at home!

This recipe makes 8 buns! Grab what you need:

BUN
2 cups all-purpose flour (sifted)
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp yeast
1.5 tbsp sugar
150ml milk (just warm to touch - 40secs in the microwave will do)
1 egg (beaten, room temp)
30g unsalted butter (soft)

TOPPING
1 tsp instant coffee
1 tsp hot water
50g unsalted butter (soft)
1/2 cup powdered sugar (sifted)
1/4 cup cake flour OR 1/4 all-purpose + 1/2 tbsp cornstarch (sifted)
1 egg (room temp)

FILLING
8 pieces of 1.5x1.5cm salted butter (frozen)
