What if Japan's EEW was used in America?

This is a simulated model of Japan's Earthquake Early Warning (EEW) if they were used in America.

As you may know, America's alert system, the Emergency Alert System (EAS), is old and unnecessarily frightening. Japan's Earthquake Early Warning System is much more modern, and delivers more information in a calm and collective way, while still being able to grab your attention. This video shows how Japan's EEW would be used in the United States.

This specific situation is based off the 2019 Ridgecrest, CA earthquakes. On July 4, 2019, the City of Ridgecrest and neighboring areas experienced foreshock across Southern California. California's earthquake alert system, ShakeAlert, developed by the City of Los Angeles in partnership with the United States Geological Survey, failed to alert their users of all tremors that occurred.

This model is based off of the 7.1 magnitude tremors that occurred on July 5, 2019. At around 8:19 PM PDT. This would be known as the most powerful earthquake that struck the State of California after 20 years.
