"I fell in love with this song the moment I heard the recording by O'Hooley & Tidow...the melody haunted me for months, inspiring me to learn the lyrics & melody so I could record my version along with my guitar. I relate to the story behind this song as I have nieces and nephews who were adopted by my brother and his wife. I also have several friends who were adopted when they were babies and they tell me that they do wonder about their birth mothers, especially when they themselves eventually had their own children and sadly thinking that somewhere out there in the world, is a woman who is the grandmother to their children and are not even aware of it....I dedicate my rendition of this beautiful song to them." ~ Eveline ~ 12-10-19
