BVOF Together at Home:
Our sense of community at Blackwater Valley Opera Festival is stronger than ever and we are already planning and looking forward to presenting our opera double bill Gianni Schicchi and Pagliacci as part of our summer Festival from 1 – 7 June 2021.
     
We are very proud of our artists and their incredible talents and we wanted to find a way to connect you with them in these difficult times as they isolate at home in Ireland and all over the world. They have begun working virtually to share with you some performances and short videos - their way of bringing BVOF to you in your homes.  
      
We are delighted to share these new virtual compilations as #bvoftogetherahome and please feel free to share #bvoftogetherathome and don't forget to follow us on our social media platforms.

Though it is with great sadness that the Board of Blackwater Valley Opera Festival have taken the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Festival, which was scheduled to run from 26th May-1st June.
As a small festival, with minimum public subsidy, we are doing our very best to find a way to support our artists at this challenging time and to ensure that the Blackwater Valley Opera Festival continues to exist for seasons to come. Part of our continued effort in supporting both our artists and opera in Ireland we have started our #bvoftogetherathome campaign to allow people to share videos and performances despite the social distancing caused by covid-19.
