Healing Nature of Music: 3 Stories and Music from the Work of Certified Music Practitioners

Through this 18-minute video featuring voice, you may glimpse into the world of Certified Music Practitioners (CMPS) and their patients, to reveal the power of music played not to entertain, but instead to therapeutically support patients and medical staff.

CMPs are graduates of the Music for Healing and Transition Program (MHTP), which creates an international network of graduates who are trained and certified to bring into medical facilities the healing nature of music for all kinds of patients, and for staff. MHTP teaches its students the science-based art of providing live, individualized therapeutic music and the intention of being a healing presence, to play live at the bedside of patients or through live telehealth sessions.
