World's Worst E39 540i Wagon...

Your first project car doesn't always go according to plan. In my case, I didn't even plan on having a project car. But because I'm stubborn and unwilling to admit defeat, I'm also unwilling to let this poor old 540i wagon die. It's a 2001 with 160,000 miles, an M62TU V8, and a couple of truly abusive prior owners. It's time to undo 20 years of neglect and make this wagon a show stopper. This will be a series following the restoration and eventual "build" of this E39.
