Google’s 15GB of free cloud storage is shared between several services: Gmail (emails and attachments), Google Drive (files, documents, etc.), and Google Photos (images and videos). In most cases, Google Photos is the biggest contributor to full storage, especially if you've been uploading high-resolution photos and videos over the years.

To get started, open a browser and go to [https://drive.google.com](https://drive.google.com). Sign in with your Google account, then tap the three lines icon in the top-left corner and select "Storage." You’ll see a breakdown of how much space is used and by which service—Drive, Gmail, or Photos. Tap on each section to view and delete unneeded files.

From there, you can tap on "Clean up space" or visit [https://one.google.com/storage](https://one.google.com/storage) to see suggestions for large files, spam, and trash items. You can delete old emails with large attachments, clear spam and trash folders, and remove photos and videos that are no longer needed.

If your data is important and you're unable to delete anything, the only option is to upgrade to a Google One plan for more storage. Plans are affordable and start at 100GB.
