Brembo Brake Pad Replacement Range Rover Sport

How to replace brake pads on a Range Rover Sport with Brembo brakes. Replacing Brembo brake pads is very similar no matter what vehicle they are fitted to.
This is a guide for people who are experienced in changing brakes and not to be done if you are unsure, or have never done this type of thing before. Brakes are a very important safety feature on your car.

After removing the wheels, you need to drift the pad retaining pins from the top and bottom of the caliper, ensuring you are careful. There is a large tension spring above the pads which you need to remove, but most of all, you need to be very careful of the calipers. They are only aluminium and can damage very easily. You have to use care when removing the pins, and when re-installing them.
When pushing the pistons back in the calipers, use a screwdriver between the brake disc and pad to push one set back. when they are flush with the caliper put a screwdriver between the disc and pad to hold the gap and lock the pistons back, then proceed to pushing the other pad and set of pistons back. Just ensure that you don't damage or scratch the face of the brake disc.
Re-fitting the new pads is basically the reversal of removing.

I accept no liability for any loss or damage caused from following this guide.
