RFK: Delores Beilenson (Witness)

Delores Beilenson was a witness to the assassination of Robert Kennedy at the ambassador hotel.

Beilenson was the wife of a state senator who went to the pantry hallway during Senator Kennedy’s speech to get out of the heat in the Embassy Room.

She stood near a metal table, separated from the pantry area by a partition, and saw Senator Kennedy pass by. Kennedy was shaking hands with hotel employees as he walked through the area. Beilenson turned to her right to look for Mrs. Kennedy but then turned back to watch the Senator. At that moment, she saw the suspect fire three shots. Although she could not identify the shooter, she was quickly pushed through the double doors by the crowd and left the area immediately.
