First I have to say I love the design of the new Blackwire 5200 Series. Plantronics did a nice job matching the color accents on those headphones.

The main benefit of using a headset like this is that it comes with both a USB audio and 3,5mm connectivity.

Basically, the inline controller houses a USB audio interface. In my case when testing on a Mac it worked right away just by plugging it in.

Next, I did install the Plantronics hub software, which can be useful to access extra features, or when you want to manage multiple Plantronics devices.

When connecting the C5220 to my iPhone SE however, I noticed the sound did not sound as nice and powerful. In comparison, the sound was much better when connecting the headset via the included USB inline controller.

Hence, I can most recommend this headset if you plan to use it on your computer.

If however, you plan to use the headset a lot with your phone, I suggest checking if your phone can provide a strong enough output signal, to satisfy the headsets power requirements.

As mentioned in the video, I noticed that in my case, connecting it to my iPhone, the sound was a bit weaker than using it on the computer.

Other than that, it is a very nice and comfortable headset.
