Tanuki is one of those companies that there is a lot of mystery and lore around (at least in the raw denim community). Why though you may ask? Well the truth is that some people believe this is either a
1. Offshoot brand from a major denim retailer in order to grab some raw denim market for themselves
2. A bunch of raw denim companies coming together to form their own brand? Pure Blue Japan, Oni, etc.

Either way though all I can say is COOL I'M DOWN. I wish more companies made crazy cool jackets like Tanuki, I'd love that.

As far as the style of this jacket it's a Type II brought into the world by Levi Strauss jeans!
