Long Canyon - Moab, Utah

Moab, Utah is one of the premier off-road and four-wheel drive destinations. Comprised of some of the most well-known trails in all of the United States it has trail types that suit all driver's wheeling desires. Some would call it an "off-roader's paradise". Long Canyon is not a trail in a jeeper's sense but just a dirt road that connects you back into Moab if you are out playing in the Gemini Bridges area. The reward is some of the most breath-taking views that the Moab area has to offer. This trail is best done on a clear day about an hour before sunset to really highlight the scenery. There is a look-out point about half way with about an 800-foot vertical drop into the canyon below. Feel free to explore this area in your vehicles and gain some killer photography, but beware this area is very dangerous and there are no second chances. Small children should be kept close, there are some verticle cracks that small children will undoubtedly find if left by themselves.
