How I Started My First Business at 15! (I’m 18 Now) | My Story

I started my first business at 15 years old. Now, sitting here 3 years later, it’s safe to say it’s been a pretty fun journey

Don’t worry, I’m not like those fake gurus. I don’t drive a Lamborghini, I don’t own a mansion in the Greek islands, but I do make a full time income online with ecommerce, and in this video, I share my journey with you so hopefully you can take something away from it.

Now to say my business ventures have been successful over the entire 3 years wouldn’t be true, because it’s only in the last year and half where I’ve actually been able to generate a solid income online.

When I was 15, I came across a video explaining Shopify Dropshipping. How Dropshipping works is this:

Basically you build an online store using Shopify, import products to that store using Oberlo and aliexpress, and advertise the products using Facebook or Instagram. You can use other platforms like Google, but Facebook and Instagram are the main two which are used when Dropshipping. It is an e commerce business model.

After watching Shopify Dropshipping content on Youtube, I began learning Facebook ads, and instragram influencer ads. So I built a store, made some ads, and went live.

In the beginning, my ads weren’t making a profit, and I’d already drained by bank account months earlier when I first started trying to dropship, I actually had to think of a way to keep funding this whole endeavour.

I wanted to think of other ways I could make money online as a broke teenager, I wanted to make $100 per day as a beginner, so I had to think of many methods.

I began by offering a store review service, where I would review other Dropshipping Shopify stores and fix the problems to make them generate a profit.

From here, things started to pick up a little more speed. After spending so much on Facebook ads and running campaigns with Instagram influencers, I had developed a pretty good understanding of both platforms and was actually profitable in my ads.

Over my time doing store reviews, Dropshipping and doing e-commerce as a whole, I had developed a pretty good understanding on how to build Shopify websites. I also had Photoshop knowledge from earlier years, meaning I could create professional graphics and use the program to make my websites look as good as possible.

I ended up getting in contact with numerous well established brands, acting as their web developer and building them a fresh new site. For this, I was charging anywhere from $700 to $3000, depending on the job.

I built sites for about 6 months, working with Shopify drop shippers and e commerce clothing brand owners, too.

In the beginning of 2019, I decided to try out Dropshipping again, after helping e-commerce clothing brand owners and Facebook advertisers.

After a few months, I began posting my Dropshipping results in Facebook groups, sharing my strategies for free and giving free guidance to a bunch of beginners within these groups. At this point, someone suggested that I start charging for all the help I was providing, so in this, I began consulting and being a mentor for others.

From starting drop shipping with zero dollars ($0), and eventually making a full time income online, it is safe to say I love the e commerce business model.
