Heidelberg is a city in southwest Germany. The University of Heidelberg, founded in 1386, is the oldest university in Germany. The city is a picturesque city along with the Neckar river and palace that divides the city in two, and is also known as the most romantic city of Germany (Wege der Romantik). Today, the majority of the city's population is students.
