GOBABIS HOSTS MISS NAMIBIA PAGEANTS - nbc

The spotlight is on Gobabis this weekend as the Omaheke Region hosts the 2026 Miss Teen Namibia and Miss Namibia pageants, with the festivities officially getting underway tonight.

The event is expected to bring together contestants from across the country, celebrating beauty, talent, culture, and woman empowerment, while providing a boost to tourism and the local economy.

Everything is set for the 2026 Miss Teen Namibia and Miss Namibia pageants.

The event's National Director, Beulah Boois-Beukes, confirmed to NBC News that preparations are complete and the stage is ready for the two competitions.

She said this year's event is being organised differently, with a new approach during the preparation period.

The event is expected to attract hundreds of fans and will kick off tonight at around 19h00 with Miss Teen Namibia.

Miss Namibia will be crowned on Saturday evening.

Adding to the weekend's excitement, Omaheke is also expected to host a horse racing event on Saturday before the Miss Namibia winner is announced.

Law enforcement officials in the region have urged the public to remain calm, saying they are fully prepared.

NBC will broadcast the Miss Teen Namibia and Miss Namibia events live tonight and on Saturday, respectively, across all its platforms.
