Michael Schumacher vs Jacques Villeneuve - 1997

The young Canadian from CART versus one of F1's greats as he tries to bring Ferrari back to the glory days. Jacques Villeneuve and Michael Schumacher battled it out all the way down to the final race in Jerez to decide the 1997 Formula One World Championship.

Villeneuve in his second Formula One season driving for Williams got dangerously close to being the first rookie champion in F1 history and was hungry to close the deal heading into 1997, where as Schumacher was already a 2x F1 Champion going back to back with the Benetton in 1994 and 1995 but was hungry to help Ferrari return to the top of the standings in his second year with the team after a good title bid in 1996 which saw 3 wins and a P3 in the standings.
