Mamallapuram is all to host an informal meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and China’s President Xi Jinping. This old seaport town in Kanchipuram, also known as Mahabalipuram, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the meeting between the two leaders is expected open the novel avenues to boost historical, cultural and trade ties between the two countries.There is mutual agreement that as two of the largest and fastest growing developing countries, representing almost one third of the global population, stable and balanced development of our relations will not only be beneficial for our two peoples, but also a factor of stability in this uncertain global environment and the informal exchange at Mamallapuram will only strengthen our ties further.
