Mic Comparison Part 1: Overheads (Aston Starlight, Shure, AKG, Earthworks, Samson)

This is the first video of a short series comparing the sounds of various small diaphragm condenser microphones. After receiving my new Aston Starlight pair, I thought this would be a useful project, as many people have yet to hear these mics.

The comparison is blind, as to remove any bias one might have based on price, manufacturer, or model. It includes a very inexpensive mic (Samson C02 - $140 pair), a high end reference mic (Earthworks QTC30 - known for a very flat response and natural sound), two widely known classic SDCs (Shure SM81, AKG C 451 B) and a new mic to the market (Aston Starlight - including 3 distinct voicing settings: Vintage, Modern, and Hybrid).
