Cogito Ergo Sum ? Or Does Reality Require Measurement ?

The Intermediate Layer Problem
Quantum mechanics is an extremely successful descriptive compression. It reduces complex experimental observations to compact probability distributions that predict averages with remarkable accuracy.

However, this success stops at an intermediate descriptive layer. The Schrödinger equation describes a continuous, deterministic evolution of the wave function. The Born rule then suddenly turns this into probabilities for measurement outcomes. There is no mechanism in the theory that explains how a single, definite outcome is produced from the continuous wave.

The theory reduces complexity to a statistical summary, but never reaches the true underlying rules that generate each individual event. By treating this statistical description as the fundamental reality, the community mistook the intermediate layer for the complete picture.

This is the exact gap Einstein pointed at: the wave function evolves deterministically, yet the theory has no causal bridge to a definite outcome before measurement.
