N95 respirator mask tutorial: How to don and doff an N95 mask for nurses and healthcare professionals.

N95 respirator masks are used by nurses and many other healthcare professionals. In this video tutorial, I demonstrate how to wear an N95 mask (how to put it on and take it off).

There are several things that you'll want to remember when using an N95 mask, especially during pandemic outbreaks.

1. Prior to using an N95 mask, you should be properly fitted. It's not uncommon to be fit tested for an N95 mask yearly as a healthcare worker, but fit test frequency can vary.

2. You should always refer to the latest state guidelines, CDC protocols, and manufacturer guidelines for how to wear your specific brand and model of N95 mask. Directions and protocols do change over time, so this video should be seen as a general overview, not specific advice for any particular brand or healthcare setting/patient population.

3. After donning an N95 mask, you should always check for proper fit and perform a seal check. This will ensure that the mask has properly sealed to your face, which is important for the safety of you, your coworkers, and your patients.

4. After using your N95 mask, follow the latest protocols for storage, reuse, or disposal of the N95 mask, which may vary depending on your patient population and latest protocols.
