In her video titled Why I Got a Facelift at 24, Gazelle explained that she previously underwent a “bone shaving” procedure in Korea. Bone shaving is a common surgery there that reshapes the jawline by shaving down the bone for a slimmer V-line appearance.

What she didn’t expect was that her skin wouldn’t naturally tighten back after the procedure. She was left with loose skin around her nasolabial folds and neck—a known but often under-discussed side effect.

Seeking a more lifted look, Gazelle decided to travel to Turkey for a brow lift and mid-facelift. She clarified that she didn’t get a full facelift; only the mid-face region was tightened, specifically lifting the area around her cheeks and eyes. She still has some loose skin around her jaw from the bone shaving but felt that could be treated later.

A mid-facelift typically repositions cheek fat pads and tightens the skin to create a more youthful structure. According to Cleveland Clinic, facelifts are usually performed on people in their 40s to 60s, making Gazelle’s age especially uncommon for this type of procedure.

Gazelle documented everything—from packing for Turkey, arriving at the hospital, post-surgery checks, medication routines, and the day her face wrap was removed. Her transparency gave viewers an unfiltered look at the reality of recovering from invasive cosmetic procedures.
