Airstream Interstate 24X Review: Off-Roading Vanlife In A $230,000 Sprinter Conversion

Airstream clearly wants to jump aboard the #vanlife craze with the new Interstate 24X. Based on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with air-lift suspension and a turbodiesel V6 powering all four wheels, the Interstate 24X costs $230,000.

This off-roading house on wheels drives as tamely as a modern car and comes with all the creature comforts of home, but little build quality issues seem to crop up constantly and the layout seems less refined than other similar Airstreams, like the 24GL and 24GT. And yet, Airstream can't keep these things on the shelf. Watch as Michael Van Runkle tackles a small hill in the big van and shows off all the features Airstream adds onto the excellent Sprinter van platform.
