Cerebral palsy is a life long issue. The severity of disability can range from minor disability to severe disability. Brain insult is static but its disability can be static, decrease or increase in severity. Severity & progress of disability depends upon the quality of intervention & environment and parents dedication & knowledge in the latest update in cerebral palsy treatment, physiotherapy & rehabilitation.

It is a proven fact that the involvement of parents in the treatment planning of children with cerebral palsy is very important. Parents should also know about every problem of their child and their remedies.

They should also learn therapy programs for their child so that they can continue therapy at home. In this lecture, Dr. Jitendra Jain has tried to cover all important information for the parents so that they can decide the way of treatment and can involve themselves in the whole treatment process. This lecture was taken during a national symposium on the parental guideline on 27th November 2016 at Allahabad organized by the Trishla Foundation.
