Introducing Roma our Sargo 36 Explorer

This is an introduction to our new boat, Roma, on our inaugural trip to Brighton Marina. Roma is a Sargo 36 Explorer. Sargo boats are made in Finland and are designed for all weather conditions.

Roma can achieve a speed of up to 40 knots. She has twin Volvo Penta 370HP engines.

Despite the 40 knot top speed we had a leisurely cruise at a steady 7 to 8 knots to Brighton Marina making good use of the auto-pilot and the Seakeeper stabiliser. On the return trip we managed 22-24 knots until we turned the corner at Selsey Bill where the sea conditions deteriorated rapidly as we approached Portsmouth and reduced speed to 9-10 knots.
