"Evening of Friendship" Concert was held on June 10, 2021 at Borbad Concert Hall in Dushanbe, Tajikistan . This concert symbolizes shared history, culture and values of Tajik and Uzbek peoples. This friendship has been renewed and strengthened since coming to power of the current President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat M. Mirziyoyev upon passing of his predecessor Islam Karimov. During Islam Karimov's reign in Uzbekistan relations between the countries endured many years of difficulty. Islam Karimov, whose mother is a Tajik, perhaps, wanted to show to Uzbekistanis he's a real Uzbek, I guess, but I am sure Tajiks and also many Uzbeks will not remember of his years of presidency fondly as being a success. Let the history to be the judge; it is not nice to speak ill about dead people...Enjoy the concert!
