What is it like to be an Asian man in Japan? How's your experience will be different from non-Asian foreigners?

As Kenji said, it used to be easy for Filipinos to get certain kinds of visa in Japan. A lot of young girls from improvised areas came to Japan to work for hostess clubs during that period. What made the situation complicated was the existence of 'brokers' in both countries whose practise may have been quite questionable. Because of all those factors, Japanese people (especially men) from certain background and of certain generation may have very biased views of the Philippines.
But there flip side of this story is that Filipina women are quite popular among Japanese men. Filipina-Japanese marriage is the second most popular international marriage in Japan.
