English Translation

Two days later, Anna is nervously waiting for a response.

Every time her phone rings, she checks immediately.
“Is it the company?” she thinks.

In the afternoon, she finally gets an email.

With a pounding heart, she opens the message.

“Thank you for your interest…”

Anna keeps reading—and suddenly her face becomes serious.

She did not get the job.

“Unfortunately, we have chosen another person.”

Anna is disappointed.
She sits on a bench and looks at her phone.

“I wasn’t good enough…” she thinks sadly.

In the evening, she meets Miriam at a café.

“I didn’t get the job,” Anna says quietly.

Miriam looks at her and says:
“That’s a pity. But you know what? You tried—and that’s what matters.”

Anna is silent for a moment.

Then she says:
“Before, I would have been too scared to even go.”

Miriam smiles:
“Exactly! And now you did a job interview in German. That’s a big success!”

Anna thinks.

Slowly, she feels better.

At that moment, she gets a new message.

Another company writes:
“We saw your profile and would like to meet you.”

Anna can’t believe it.

“Another interview!” she says, surprised.

Miriam laughs:
“You see? This is just the beginning!”

Anna smiles again.

“I won’t give up,” she thinks.
“I will keep going.”
