India reported 203 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 3,961 amid a fresh outbreak driven by two new variants: NB.1.8.1 and LF.7, both mutations of the JN.1 Omicron lineage. Four more deaths were reported — one each in Delhi, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu — raising the toll to 32 since 1 January 2025.
