How to create the ultimate mobile-powered workstation with Samsung DeX

Samsung DeX is one of the coolest productivity features on our Galaxy mobile devices. It lets you extend your Galaxy smartphone or tablet to a larger screen, creating a desktop-like work experience.

On our latest devices, like the new Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra 5G, you can connect wirelessly to any display that supports Miracast, which includes most smart TVs. Samsung has also recently launched a Smart Monitor that supports wireless DeX. With this Smart Monitor, you can create a powerful wireless workstation and take your work-from-home productivity to the next level.

Here’s how to set up Samsung DeX on your Smart Monitor:
1. First, power on the monitor.
2. Using the remote or the controls on the monitor itself, go to the monitor’s source menu. Then choose screen mirroring.
3. On your Galaxy smartphone, pull down the Quick Panel by dragging down from the top of the screen. Tap the DeX option.
4. Select DeX on TV or monitor. Your Galaxy device will now search for available displays to connect with.
5. Once you see your Smart Monitor, tap it.
6. On your monitor, you’ll see the DeX logo appear, followed by the DeX homescreen.
7. Now, to be fully productive, you can connect a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse by putting your devices in pairing mode, following the instructions by the manufacturer.
8. You’re all set! With the power of Samsung DeX and the Samsung Smart Monitor you can now enjoy a full desktop-style interface wirelessly.
