Amazing two weeks at the Iberostar Tainos January 2021

What a place, although obviously not as vibrant as usual but still very much well worth the visit!
Loved every minute, anyone that visits Cuba and doesn’t leave with some of it in their hearts as not experienced it to its full potential.

We have met some great people, Cuban, German and British. Drank plenty of mojito’s, Daiquiris and pretty much everything else containing alcohol.

The catamaran trip to Cayo Blanco was good. Entertaining staff who offered more than enough drinks. There were some states when we docked back in Varadero, especially after all the tequila slammers and beer at 8.6%!

Havana was good, quite eerie, with many shops, bars and restaurants closed due to Covid. The restaurant we visited for lunch offered some of the best Cuban cuisine I’ve ever tasted. We would have loved to have gone overnight to Tropicana, however due to the current situation this wasn’t possible.

The hotel was good, great staff, entertainment team and dancers great, weather awesome at times touching 30oC, company brilliant and to top it all when the sea is calm I’ve never seen anything like it!

The music Jerusalema by Master KG was the theme to the holiday as it was played daily by the animation team.
