Finding the lost Mt. Holmes trail, off-trail in Yellowstone National Park.

I like to find the abandoned trails in Yellowstone National Park. This is the abandoned Gneiss Creek trail that will take you over to the Mt. Holmes trail. It might be abandoned because there is no water supply for at least 10 miles but I plan on doing more of it each year to find out for myself. If anyone has any additional information about this trail please leave a comment. Maybe some of you have hiked this trail in years past when it was an open/maintained trail.
