We're going to break down why we decided to self build our home in Tennessee. If you're thinking about doing this, here's some tips from our experience.
When you're considering a self build, always remember to look into codes and regulations for your county as well as financial requirements! Some banks won't give a loan without a licensed contractor and many areas have restrictions that you must follow in order to get utilities. We are following state and safety codes on every step of our build, but in our county the only inspections required are for electric and septic.
