Keio Line, Shinjuku Station History Tokyo Trains | 京王線の新宿駅

THE KEIO LINE, Shinjuku Station, is a major terminal station for commuters on Tokyo’s west side. The Keio Line's 3 underground platforms serve nearly 800,000 commuters daily making it among the most traveled non- JR train stations in all of Japan. But it wasn’t always this way. This is the story of the Keio Line, Shinjuku station, where we plan to explore its history and the reasons why it changed location 3 times, on a journey spanning over 100 years.
