After Curt Welling graduated from Dartmouth College, he first pursued his JD from Vanderbilt University and subsequently his MBA from the Tuck School of Business. Curt spent 25 years in senior executive roles in the investment banking and securities industries, including President and CEO of SG Cowen Securities Corporation and Senior Managing Director of Global Equity Capital Markets at Bear Stearns. In 2002, he moved into the non-profit sector, becoming President and CEO of AmeriCares, a global health and emergency response organization. During his time at AmeriCares, he oversaw the distribution of $9 billion in aid worldwide and launched multi-year relief efforts for several major disasters including the Southeast Asia tsunami in 2004, the 2010 Haiti earthquake, and the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan. In 2014, he joined Tuck Business School as a senior fellow for Global Business and Government and the Center for Business & Society, focusing on issues that arise at the nexus of business, government, and civil society. Curt currently serves on the boards of Coca-Cola and Sapient and chairs the Board of Visitors of the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy at Dartmouth. He is also on the board of the Adirondack Council, the board chair of Spence Chapin Services, and a founding board chair of the Donaldson Adoption Institute.
