Lambton Tank No 29 double heads LNER J27 No 65894 which starts to prime. NYMR 7 October 2000

Lambton Tank No 29 is double heading J27 No 65894 up through the Esk Valley heading for Goathland shortly after leaving Grosmont. As they reach the start of the 1 in 49 gradient, 65894 starts to prime which leaves No 29 struggling to maintain momentum until the J27 recovers. It is raining and No 29's fire can clearly be seen through the mist and gloom,shortly before they disappear into the trees
