Camping in the desert was a lot of fun! We Did a little overlanding in our Toyota 4x4 on some off road trails to get into the best backcountry desert solitude.

I had some camp cooking ideas that I wanted to try and family camping here in this beautiful Southern Utah desert is the best place to do that. I roasted a whole chicken in a zebra Billy pot, then tried using a large griddle heated by two firebox stoves heated with the Swedish fire torch pre-Refueling method. The results were somewhat mixed but I certainly learned a lot and we'll do it all again next time!
