Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. (born September 25, 1980 Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. was born on September 25, 1980, He was raised by his grandparents in the Atlanta area Center Hill neighborhood just off Bankhead Highway. His father resided in New York City, he would often go there to visit AND His father gave him the name tip BUT his father died from Alzheimer's disease and died from the disease when ti was young
Ti started rapping around 8 or 9 in the 3rd grade and started doing talent shows around 11 but ti wasn’t the school type so he dropped out in Douglass High School school and turned to the streets at a early age and started selling crack but one day his life would come to a halt where he was driving with no License and got pulled over with crack on him and did 7 months and got out with 7 years of probation ti knowing his talent and started rapping and began to take serious in 1999 then dropping his first song in 2001 named I’m serious and the song did pretty good showing he ture potential he went to drop I’m serious his first album and peaked at 98 on us Billboards in 2001 and sold about 270,000 copies then dropping trap Muzik and with ti bringing a new southern style to rap his sales went crazy with selling over 109,000 units the first week but on September 2003 ti was arrested by Florida cops and charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, trespassing, and disorderly conduct after security guards accused him and some friends of creating a disturbance at a Hillsborough County mall.

In January 2005 he pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to 18 months of probation and 75 hours of community service.
